Debate on Woman Suffrage At High School
A Friday debate on woman suffrage drew many pupils and parents.Affirmative speakers Miss Odessul Durston and Ruth Zeller faced Messrs Rae Chadwick and John Newcomer for the negative. The judges ruled in favor of the affirmative after a well prepared exchange. An evening program followed the debate. In county court Judge Robert H. Scott appointed William G. Krug conservator for his brother John M. Krug due to his properties and need for oversight. John’s condition has improved and he has suffered no new severe nervous spells at the sanitarium.

Mildred Suter Weds Nathan Sanders at Franklin Grove
At the home of Rev. and Mrs Cy rus Suter in Franklin Grove on Tuesday evening six o clock, Miss Mildred L. Suter married Nathan Sanders of the locality. The bride, a refined young lady, has a large circle of friends, and the groom is a diligent farmer living two miles south of town. Northrup Loses 180 In Theatre Incident On Madison
Co. K Northrup lost 180 dollars after a theater incident on Madison Street Chicago Monday evening. He had planned a Texas trip, carried 80 in cash and a 100 draft. He returned to Ashton Tuesday morning, paid fare with silver, and notified Ashton Banks to stop payment on the draft while securing funds for his southwest trip.
