Ashton Evangelical Church Dedication Set for December 1910
The new United Evangelical church in Ashton, costing about $10,000, will be dedicated starting Friday evening December 2 with Bishop R Dubs of Harrisburg presiding. Rev. W K Loobourrow and Rev. Alexander English will speak. services on Saturday and Sunday will be in German and English, with Bishop Dubs preaching. The building features brick veneer, opalescent glass, golden oak pews, frescoes, chandeliers, a Schiller piano, and a basement plan. The project is praised by Rev. George A. Walter and the congregation.
