Dixon Three Contests Mark Quiet County Elections
In Lee County Ashton and nearby townships held light voting with no official contests. Ashton saw 171 votes. Charles Heidenthal led for Supervisor with 168 while other offices drew write-ins. Reynolds voted to abolish the poll tax. Sullivan topped Supervisor race, and various others filled short terms. Dixon featured a three way Supervisor race. Fordham won in Brooklyn, and Chicago elected Carter Harrison mayor over Merriam in a Democratic sweep aided by Lorimer forces.

New Cases For April Term Of Circuit Court
Over 90 new cases started since the last term with twelve divorces. Hattie Perkins of Willow Creek sues Holdren Christopher for 10000 dollars for breach of promise alleging promised marriage on March 12 1910 and refusals in July and September. Packard Show Draws Largest Audience of M W A Course
The fifth and final M. W. A. entertainment at the opera house featured Packard the cartoonist with Uncle Sam as his subject. He drew sketches and held the audience's attention throughout. Despite the best talent and a course cost of $100 more, overall sales failed to make the year financially successful.

Death of Floyd Orville Fuller Aims to Inspire Banner Efforts
Floyd Orville Fuller died at home near Rochelle after measles relapse led to pneumonia. Born January 21, 1894 near Steward, he attended Rochelle High School and was cited as an exemplary student. Funeral held at Rochelle Methodist Church with classmen as pallbearers. interment at Lawnridge. He leaves a father, mother, and sister Edith. Also included is a county financial report noting town treasurers and temperance drive progress in Lee County for 1910, with a push to make Lee a Banner County through temperance leadership in many towns.

Census figures show 41 percent of Illinois residents are under 21 statewide. Lee and Whiteside counties run about 40 percent juvenile population, while Hardin county in the south leads at 52 percent. Shearer Brothers of Scarboro sue the Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul Railroad for 3000 dollars claiming 20 carloads of bulk corn and four of bulk oats valued at 24000 were delayed due to lack of cars, causing Chicago delivery delays and lower sale prices. Baxter & Wirick represent plaintiffs and Arthur G Harris the railroad.
