Saginaw Organ Concert Celebrates Church Efforts
In Saginaw on a Friday evening the fifth of five organ concerts benefited the Cong Church. The large $65,000 church house featured a $6,000 organ with modern refinements and a powerful, orchestral sound. Prof H B Boney opened with Auber’s Zanetta, followed by Gou sdilhk's March of the Night, simulating a marching army, while birds' songs joined the grand tone. The Conservatory Glee Club performed well, with Mrs Stevens praised for a remarkable four- piece showcase. The event, described as the grandest organ performance heard locally, highlighted a vigorous church community and its valley workers. HL Saginaw, April, ’76. FLATOR
