An appeal case from London dated May 10 concerns the Lyttelton Lin Company and Warner's Hotel Company Limited with the judgment reserved.
Our Own Correspondent reports a firm market with strong demand for wheat and no offers from growers. Merchants sold at 3s 7d f o b, with Timaru offering 3s 6d in store as the lowest accepted. Oats are in demand but supplies are scarce.

Gartons Danish oats at gs 5id and Duns at 2s 7d. Barley milling inquiries for f.o.b. Potatoes ease to £3 to £3 4s at country stations, bags in.
Wheat market is largely stalled as spring threshed stocks rise and exports slow. Prices hold with slight increases for Tuscan and Pearl wheats. oats limited with high askings. Canadians and short feed values noted. hay and chaff movement strong southward with high transit costs. Prime staff price of £4 8s 6d on trucks near Ashburton.
