Medical Society of New Jersey Concludes Annual Meeting
After a day and a half in session the Medical Society of New Jersey adjourned yesterday afternoon. Dr Alexander McAllister presented a paper on anti toxine serum and typhoid extract, arguing for use though not always successful. Dr Johnson urged early treatment and cited deaths dropping from 40 to 12 percent with use. Prof M P Ravendal of Princeton highlighted declines in diphtheria mortality linked to anti toxine until serum supplies ran low, when deaths rose again.
