The Theodore J Vincentz Fifth Regiment Band from Orange arrives for a summer season through September. Twelve musicians perform under Director Vincentz starting with a 1:30 pm concert at Asbury Avenue Pavilion for about 90 minutes before crowds of around 2,000. The lineup includes Strack, Dawson, Vogell, Zino, Miller, Coffman, Coburn, Blythe, Wesshite, Franks, Miller, Moore, Bode, and Weeshite with early additions planned. The ensemble may grow to twenty during National Editorial and Educational Association conventions. The Citizens' Committee funds cover the first two weeks. contract with the Borough begins June 9 with weekly uptown performances and daily afternoon and evening concerts.
