Justice Ludlow Dies in New Brunswick at Age 66
George C. Ludlow ex governor of New Jersey and long serving Supreme Court Justice died yesterday afternoon in New Brunswick from dropsy. Born 1839 in Milford, Hunterdon County he graduated Rutgers College in 1850. He served as State Senator from Middlesex 1876 and Governor in 1880, later becoming Supreme Court Justice in 1895 with circuit peerages in Atlantic Salem Cape May and Cumberland counties. He leaves a widow and two sons.
