Runaway Horses at Deal Cause Minor City Damage
A team owned by Charles Clayton bolted from Deal yesterday afternoon. After being thrown from the wagon, Clayton and several others landed hard. The horses escaped, dashed along Main Street past Ashbury Park, collided with Milan Ross’ carriage at 208 Main Street, bending a step and twisting the shafts. No serious injuries or damages were reported.
