Wolcott Made Fatal Blunder At Chestnut Crossing
A Pennsylvania Railroad train struck a wagon at Chestnut street crossing near Red Bank, killing 23 year old Paul Wolcott of Eatontown and injuring his bride and Joho Wright. Mrs Wolcott survived in shock as Wolcott died at Long Branch hospital after severe injuries to his arm leg and head. The couple had been to Griggs machine shop and were en route to shop.
