Postal service seeks across the board hike

The U S Postal Service filed a comprehensive rate increase with the Postal Rate Commission, proposing higher prices across classes. First class stamps would rise from 6 to 10 cents, with substantial boosts for second class magazines, third class bulk mail, post cards, airmail, and fourth class parcel rates. The plan aims to offset deficits and rising operating costs amid inflation and labor pressures, with final approval pending the Cost of Living Council.
