Arab hijackers seize Dutch jet over France with 78 aboard
A Royal Dutch KLM jet carrying 78 passengers and a baby was hijacked 20 minutes after leaving Nice en route from Malaga to Amsterdam. The hijackers spoke Arabic and were believed to be Palestinian extremists. The plane refueled in Tunis and landed gear damage was repaired by two mechanics. Passengers were reported in good condition as Tunisian authorities blocked all Tunis airports during the incident.
