The Bay Area Rapid Transit District will auction items turned in to its lost and found today at the district warehouse on 72nd Avenue and San Leandro Street in Oakland. The sale starts in the morning at the warehouse near the Coliseum BART station. Watches bicycles and cameras are among items. Winners must pay 25 percent at the auction and the rest by 2 p.m. Monday. Payment must be cash money order or certified cashier's or traveler's check.
Margaret Mozingo Mitchell, wife of actor Cameron Mitchell, files in Darlington court claiming his marriage to another woman occurred before their Puerto Rico wedding on May 9, 1873. She says his divorce from first wife Lissa was not final until Feb 23, 1974 and seeks restoration of her name. Mitchell had filed for bankruptcy in Feb 1974 amid $55,000 separation and payment agreement dispute.
