Growth limit proposals dropped for super sewer project
East Bay Dischargers Authority GM Wayne Bruce said the board dropped growth limit conditions clearing the way for about 5 million dollars in federal funds to begin construction by June 30. Boy in narrow well freed after five hour rescue
Two year old Michael Smith was rescued by Dade County Fire Department workers after being jammed in a narrow irrigation well southwest of Miami for nearly five hours. He fell in at 5:25 pm and was brought to the surface at 9:58 pm, then flown to Miami Dade General Hospital for observation in good condition.
