Witness changes testimony in fatal shooting hearing

In Fremont municipal court Mrs. Juanita Furia testified that she and Leroy Sovey went to the home of her estranged husband to beat him up the night Lovey was fatally shot. She described a plot involving Nell's Angels to snuff out Furia, which Pamela Ivey said she refused to join. Furia and Lovey had visited Ivey to seek help to enter Furia’s home, and Ivey reported the scheme that night. Ivey denied the accusation and testified Lovey had sought Ivey’s aid earlier. Furia’s preliminary hearing and bail motion details followed, with the judge setting a March 26 superior court date.
