Plunkett Reports Early To San Francisco 49ers Camp

Quarterback Jim Plunkett and Norm Snead arrived at the 49ers training facility at San Jose State University to learn Monte Clark’s new system before the rest of the veterans. Clark has named Plunkett as his starter, aiming to stabilize leadership after multiple quarterbacks since Brodie’s retirement. Plunkett shows confidence despite past injuries and expects a stronger passing game and a different playbook with a tougher numbering system. He notes the need for security and leadership from the quarterback position and recalls bonding with former stars during a visit with Y A Tittle, Brodie, and Frankie Albert.
