Judge Redmond Staats set parole eligibility at eight and a half years. Cole was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the slaying of Pleasanton waitress Marilyn Young 31 in a Fremont motel October 9 ISG. He pleaded guilty to a count of perverted assault on a Dublin mother of three abducted after a Castro Valley bar meeting January 27. He also admitted a 1962 arrest for felonious assault.
