Protesters Win Court Delay in Valley State Case
Twenty eight members of the Black Students Union at San Fernando Valley State College won a continuance until March 17 for their arraignment on charges tied to the seizure of two campus buildings late last year. Superior Court Judge William B. Keene granted the delay after a defense motion for more time to review the grand jury indictment transcript. The 28 were arrested for allegedly seizing the buildings and holding 37 administrators, teachers, and others against their will.
