Arcadia trustees set date for bond election to secure PWA aid
Public Works Administration offers 109 992 dollars earmarked for Arcadia city schools to fund a 129 000 dollar bond election. Superintendent Westerhouse said the district must secure the vote by September 30 to obtain federal assistance. The plan includes Holly Avenue strengthening and new installations at First Avenue with an auditorium health unit kindergarten industrial arts building and extensive interior upgrades.

Briggs Family Plans Three Week Canada Vacation
Dr. W. M. Briggs and wife and daughter Mary Jane will depart Wednesday for three weeks visiting Vancouver B C and Crater Lake Oregon. Firemen to Attend Drill at Wheeler Street Station
