Soldier 18 Killed by Santa Fe Train Near Arcadia
Herbert R. Clough a private in the Thirty-eighth balloon company of Arcadia was killed early Thursday when struck by a Santa Fe train. His body lay along tracks west of Santa Anita and coroners may hold an inquest. Military funeral arrangements will be made in Arcadia. He was alone and walking toward the balloon school camp when the accident occurred. relatives in Syracuse were notified.
