Tragedy at Santa Anita ranch ends in double death
Mrs. Casco and her husband Blas Casco were found dead in a Santa Anita avenue ranch house with a Colt revolver in his hand and kerosene on the scene. Authorities say quarrels preceded the tragedy and that both deaths appear to be self-inflicted or staged. No immediate suspect. Treen and deputies found the bodies after a phone report of gas being on and two people on the floor. The coroner and Renaker Co. of Monrovia handled arrangements.

Parachute Jumped From Balloon 2000 Feet at Army Camp

Mrs H E Ellington Dies In Monrovia After Illness
Mrs Hailie Ellington of 1001 South Myrtle avenue Monrovia died after a long illness at the end of last week. Burial was Monday at Live Oak cemetery at 2 30 pm with services by Rev C C Woods pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church. Two sons Fred in the navy and Conrad in France serve in the military. a daughter Alfreda attends a Los Angeles normal school.

Deputy Sheriff J S Townsend has acquired the Arcadia property formerly owned by E K Albrecht at Second and Valnette avenues and has moved in to make Arcadia his home. Mr Albrecht now lives in Monrovia. E F Glass and wife stopped in Arcadia yesterday on their way to Los Angeles.
