Arthur Bridgewood and Grant Hurley of the 65th company at the army balloon school were detained by Lieut. C K Sherman and City Marshal Treen after a stolen Nash 6 car owner Geo P Lowe of Los Angeles was found idle on Bonita Street near Santa Anita Avenue. The duo, dressed in blue overalls, were chased by police from the camp and captured near Fallingleaf Avenue.

Balloon school troops attend Arcadia Sunday picture show
Four hundred enlisted men from the balloon school marched to The Outpost theater to see Arcadia’s first Sunday picture show last night. Two or three hundred civilians attended as Mrs. Cassil, the proprietor, offered the entertainment without charge as a diversion for the camp. A new Sunday show prohibition ordinance is likely to pass at next Wednesday’s council meeting.
