Funeral for Samuel P. Douthit Held at Home
The funeral of Samuel P. Douthit, son of Dr. and Mrs. A J Douthit, was conducted at 10 o clock Wednesday morning at his home by Rev O L Millican with assistance from Rev T H Bennett and Rev P N Cartledge. Survived by parents, one sister Louise and two brothers Floyd and Linder. Out of town pallbearers and attendees from Alexandria, Pell City, and other counties attended. The Jacksonville community mourns as Douthit had lived there twelve years.
