Death of Mr J P Pitman on Noble Street
Mr J P Pitman died at his home after a several day illness with malaria fever. He worked in the rolling mill department of the Southern Car and Foundry Co and was esteemed by all who knew him. He was a member of Mountain Oak lodge No 35 I O O F and his funeral was conducted by lodge members. He leaves a wife and children. The funeral was from his residence at 9 this morning, Rev John A May officiating. Interment in Edgemont Cemetery. Rumors of H Harden leaving the general offices are denied. Wrershall’s promotion is praised as well deserved.
