The minister bit Wellon and struck him repeatedly causing two broken bones in his right hand and crushed knuckles. He says he did nothing wrong.

Memorial statue for Dr. Phillips Brooks delayed

Love Laughs at an Injunction
New York Oct 3 Miss Helen DeLong of Scranton Pa married Dewitt Tewksbury at her aunt’s Brooklyn home despite a court injunction. Her father, a wealthy merchant, opposed the match and secured a temporary injunction last week. The writ was continued and the bride, with her mother, proceeded to Brooklyn for the wedding despite the Pennsylvania order.
