Head End Collision Shuts Southern Yard Tracks at Anniston
A morning head end collision occurred at 9 o clock on the Southern main line near Tyler Pipe Works in Anniston. Yard engine 1330 and freight No 414 were involved. no one hurt but damage is extensive. Engineers J A Dardis and John Griffin led crews. coal cars and track damaged. westbound Southern passenger train detoured via L N lines. A wrecker from Birmingham was dispatched. tracks expected to be cleared by tonight.

Conference Adjourns. funds planned for home for superannuated preachers
The North Alabama Conference of the Methodist church in session will adjourn Monday by 10 o'clock. A committee proposed an annual assessment of 190000 dollars with 20 percent set aside as sinking fund to build a home for superannuated preachers and widows and orphans of deceased preachers. The report was adopted, funding 8000 dollars yearly to the sinking fund and 20000 dollars to the building fund. Numerous laymen and ministers were elected to attend the general conference in Dallas next May.

Rock Thrown at Train Hits Keith in Virginia

Anniston Bar and County Courts Hold Memorial Proceedings
The chancery court circuit court and Anniston city court met in the city court room this morning led by Chancellor Kelly Judge Pelham and Judge Coleman to honor the memory of the late Judge James W.
