Wise Acquitted in Jefferson County Killing Case

Mr. EB O Goodwin narrowly escaped after his buggy and horse fell into a gully between the city and Oxford Saturday night. He lay trapped for two hours before a color worker found him and he received medical care. he is recovering. The horse was unharmed but the buggy was destroyed. Albert Hardenet, a Black man, was fatally stabbed by Wyatt Beavere, another Black man, in South Ansiston Saturday night around 9. He died within an hour after being found in the street.
