A 7 percent wage increase took effect today for miners in Ontonagon County as Adventure Consolidated Victoria Massachusetts Consolidated and Michigan Mining Companies voluntarily raised pay. Miners now earn 2.50 dollars per day and miners in treme mer s receive 2.25 dollars. This marks the second raise in recent months by the firms.
