Woodstock Iron and Steel Corp. sent its first pig iron shipment Monday, five-car train heading to New Orleans Detroit Chicago and other western points. Hardy Mangled Beneath Car at Oxanna Junction

Frank Hardy, a negro helper at the Southern coal chute, Oxanna Junction, was run over by a freight car about 8:30 last night. He fell headfirst from the chute, the wheels severing both legs. He died four hours later after futile medical aid.

Bennett Released After Temporary Insanity Defense

Bennett was discharged for those offenses but convicted of dis orderly conduct from Saturday night and later held on a state charge with $100 bond posting.

Unwritten Law Plea Fails in Texas

Fort Worth March 26 The first Texas conviction on record where the unwritten law was pleaded and proven is that of Pix Stewart sentenced to five years in the penitentiary for killing Clint Rutherford. Mrs Stewart testified Rutherford made an insulting proposal to her and she informed her husband of it before the killing.
