A severe cyclone moved north and west of Anniston this morning causing loss of life in Birmingham and surrounding areas. It also inflicted heavy property damage in Lin on Ga and near Rome Ga, with telegraph links to Birmingham severed. the Evening Star reports extensive destruction and widespread disaster details.
Meager details from Atlanta report a cyclone struck Birmingham this morning causing house wreckage in Birmingham and nearby towns. Many lives are said to be lost though victims' names are unavailable as telegraph lines are down and fuller details are not obtainable.
A Birmingham cyclone struck Pratt City and moved east across South Highlands North Birmingham and Irondale killing twenty five people including Mrs Lowe and her child and Dr Charles Chapman. The storm caused extensive property damage and is described as the most disastrous to visit Alabama.

Mr. R. M. Ingram got a telegram at noon from his brother J. B. Ingram, once of this city now in Birmingham, warning of a big storm with many killed but stating that they are all safe.
