Deeds transferring Woodstock iron works property across eight Alabama counties to the Woodstock Corporation were filed with Probate Judge Crook. A mortgage to Standard Trust Co of New York records bonds totaling 1,500,000 for furnace and mineral improvements, covering the same property and interests in Georgia.

Dodson in Jail After Blank Mind Hearing Set

Dodson, a telegraph operator who recently shot his 2 year old son in a family attack and was confined to a state insane hospital, is back in county jail awaiting a preliminary hearing on June 5. Two Narrow Escapes From Oxford Runaway Accidents

Two serious runaway horse incidents occurred in Oxford this morning. A horse belonging to Mr T S Bagley pulled a furniture wagon, tipping the wagon onto a negro driver and injuring him badly, with Mr Tom Lee Bagley also hurt and a mirror shattered. A second horse driven by Mrs Williamson, mother of Mr Robert Williamson, threw her from the buggy, causing painful bruises but no broken bones. she was taken home by her son and is hoped to recover.

Corner Stone Laid With Washington Trowel by Masons

In Washington a $500 000 Masonic temple cornerstone was laid using the same trowel and gavel once used by George Washington. F J Woodman as grand master led the event with the grand lodge of the District of Columbia. Roosevelt, a Mason and guest of honor, addressed officials and attendees. The implements were loaned by Washington lodge of Alexandria and Potomac lodge, custodians since Washington’s era.

Boise Idaho June 8 Evidence shows the defense aims to prove Harry Orchard was employed by the Mine Owners' Association and the Citizens' Alliance while in Cripple Creek. Arthur S. Cole former Cripple Creek schools superintendent and Citizens' Alliance secretary testified for the defense. Orchard denied knowing Cole or ever meeting him.

Cumberland Presbyterian Church Sells Lot for New Edifice

A group linked to the Cumberland Presbyterian church of Ward Five, now merged with the Presbyterian faith, has bought the corner lot at Fourteenth street and Wilmer avenue from the Anniston City Land Company. ANNAPOLIS Ind June On the cruiser Olympian flagship of Admiral Dewey at Manila and the monitors Arkansas Florida and Nevada two dozen midshipmen start their annual cruise. Wabash Express Collision Kills Three on Washington Road

A St Louis Express on the Wabash railroad crashed after striking an open switch at Acheson near Pittsburg. The impact telescoped two engines and several cars into a freight train. Three people died and many were injured in the morning wreck.
