Hill Brothers Acquitted in Assault Case
The Montgomery jury found Will Hill and Wiley Hill not guilty after twenty minutes deliberation. Indicted for assault and battery over an attack on Frank P. Glass and W. W. Screws, editors of the Montgomery Advertiser, the trial spanned two days. The defense argued acts were justified by criticisms of a brother, assistant solicitor of Montgomery County.
