J H Green a Springfield Ill broker and his family arrived in Anniston this morning after travelling 747 miles in a Winton touring car en route to Augusta Ga via Atlanta. The party plans to reunite in Atlanta and continue to Augusta with the car shipped home by water. Mrs Green and three children left for Atlanta by train. Green praised Anniston and Alabama and the family bought kodak films here.

Children burned alive as lightning hits Georgia home
News from Macon Georgia reports a thunderstorm fire at W T Jordan home near Fort Valley. Annie Wimbish 16 and Robert Wimbish 8 of Savannah perished in the blaze while Mr and Mrs Jordan barely escaped as the roof collapsed. The children were visiting the Jordan household.
