Hon Joseph King’s Oklahoma paper reports 5900 Finns to settle in the United States with funds to buy homes and become good citizens. No effort will locate many in Oklahoma. The piece notes Finns would fit agricultural communities in Calhoun county as well as elsewhere. William Jensen of M da ta Minnesota will soon depart for Finland to oversee art colorists and suggests the commercial club consider promoting the region’s advantages.

He estimates a voyage Paris to New York could take about two days with strong favorable winds, notes the need for a crew of six, and compares fuel challenges to coal for steamers.

The Society of American Florists and Ornamental Horticulturists holds its Asheville gathering August 19 to 22, 1902. Southern Railway offers round trip tickets to Asheville at one rate, with return by August 25, 1902, available from any ticket agent.
An 1880s style advertisement offers one hundred dollars reward for an incurable catarrh case and promotes Hall's Catarrh Cure taken internally. It includes endorsements from Toledo drug wholesalers West & Traux Walding Kennan & Marvin and notes testimonials available free. Price three dollars per bottle and Hall's Family Pills recommended.
The Southern Railway announces a supply of handsome Summer Home folders with details on cut summer resorts across Tennessee North and South Carolina the Virginias Georgia and other southeastern points. Traveling Passenger Agent EB Jackson invites requests by mail from those seeking rates and special low summer rates along the line.

Within North Carolina one fare. from other points one and one third fare. Tickets onsale July 17 22 final August 6 1902 to Black Mountain NC. Bible Conference tickets August 7 12 sale with final August 27 1902 return one fare within NC and one and one third fare from other points. Tickets available via ticket agents of Southern Railway.
