City reports show furnace repairs at the Methodist church near completion under Mr. John W. Rudisi. If all continues as expected, the church will be fully heated tomorrow. The town also notes various local business ads, personnel moves and miscellaneous notices.
For sale at Bargains a large dwelling on Noble street and twelve cottages in West Anniston plus staple and fancy grocery stock. Good renting property and no surplus. Agent W. H. Taylor located at Fifteenth and Stephens streets.
Dr. E. B. Chisholm of St. Louis formerly of Tuscaloosa announces a brief visit to Anniston offering complete dental and oral surgery services. Office hours are 9 to 12 and 2 to 5.
The late Samuel D G Brothers was laid to rest in Jacksonville cemetery this afternoon with a large gathering. The funeral cortege departed Aniston with active pallbearers and an honorary escort from Anniston and Jacksonville. Rev Donald McQueen conducted services at the First Presbyterian Church, honoring a man deeply beloved in Jacksonville and beyond.
Mr. A. B. Lewis resigns from the Anniston Grocery company and departs for New Orleans on a short visit. After February 1 he will join his father in a cotton mill venture at Alexander City, with the warm wishes of friends in Anniston.
