Victims alerted The Curtiss Publishing Company, which confirmed the suspects as fakes. The pair were taken to the station and await police court tomorrow morning. Norfolk Virginia January 14 Admiral Cervera denies illness reports after a press dispatch claimed he was critically ill. Spanish vice consul Arthur Humphreys in Norfolk cabled the admiral's son Lieut Angel Cervera who replied that the admiral is in good health in Cadiz. The two men befriended when Cervera visited wounded Spanish prisoners in 1898 at the U S Naval Hospital. Cervera helped Humphreys regain the vice consulate post after the war.
Rev F H Kerfoot will preach at Parker Memorial Baptist Church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o clock as a leading feature of the Bible conference now in session. Dr Kerfoot is a noted minister and a large crowd is hoped to attend.
