A Southern freight engine shifted at Twenty seventh Street and First Avenue last night crashed into a crowded street car carrying workers home from Woodlawn and East Lake. Four men died instantly and many were injured. The trailer overturned and was dragged along the street. The crossing is a reputed danger zone with multiple rail lines nearby. The dead are A. B. King J. Caverno Alfred Simpson and George Dobbins. Injured include Buckshaw Brantley J A Young A J Scott and Watkins. A Woodlawn boy, Lindsay, escaped serious harm.
