J W P Saider and Miss Eila of this city married Sunday night by Rev W F Me. Witnesses Tom Carter and friends joined in wedding joy. Congregation and band praised the couple with Christmas cheer and well wishes for the New Year. Local ministers and residents recall earlier ties and festivities as neighbors discuss the ceremony.
Recital by pupils of the music class at the State Normal in Jacksonville featured readings songs piano solos and vocal solos. Performers included Myron Weber Lurene Rowan Annie Crow Annie Martin Loreen Rowan Mabel Whitten Sadie Journey Edith Caldwell and Mary Joe Caldwell among others with piano duets and various instrument pieces. Several staff and students left town for holidays and relatives in Georgia Nashville and Brooklyn were noted. The program closed with remarks about continuing musical activity.

Mr and Mrs T J Laney saw the former’s parents last Saturday night. Christmas expectations rise as G A Laney embarks on ramblings. Mrs W A Waddle hosted a taralp feast for family.
The Southern Railway offers round trip tickets at one and one third fare for travel from points on its line to areas south of the Ohio and Potomac rivers and east of the Mississippi. A decree of the Probate Court of Calhoun County Alabama directs a partition sale of lot 17 in block 132 on Gurnee Street Anniston. On January 15, 1902 at 12 noon the property will be sold at the courthouse door to the highest cash bidder to divide among L. J. Hawkins Mrs. Sarah Fair and Opha Vartiow per the decree. Witness December 28, 1901 by F. Jonnatow Commissioner.
