The body of M M Brown was laid to rest at Edgemont cemetery after a wreck at Dogwood station on the Southern railroad. A head on collision between freight trains No 85 and No 64 destroyed engines 86 and 80 and injured six crewman, with Brakeman Brown fatally crushed.

Four Italians Die in Dynamite Explosion Near Drusois

A blast at a grading site for the Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburg railroad near Drusois Pa. killed four Italian laborers and fatally injured two others as they attempted to thaw frozen dynamite. The bodies were collected in baskets.

Miss Von Rheinbaben Narrowly Escapes Death in Berlin

Berlin Dec 18 Miss Von Rheinbaben daughter of the finance minister Baron Von Rheinbaben, had a narrow escape when she fell between two electric cars. An English naval constructor Henry Davidson of Newcastle on Tyne rushed to her aid and was killed by one of the cars while pulling her free. Miss Rheinbaben was uninjured.

Arrested today on a charge of larceny

Wash Flor noy a well dressed white man was arrested by Sweets and Policeman McNamars on a larceny warrant for two large iron wheels taken from R. J. Saywell. The wheels, sold as scrap to an iron company, netted over 60. A drayman said a man named James Toney hired him to haul the iron. no such resident exists. Flor noy admitted selling the iron and one blanket stolen from Mrs. Downs at the New England House. He claims to buy iron for James Toney of Birmingham and signed receipts as James Toney per F. Flor noy formerly resided in Arenistown and is to be tried tomorrow. he has been drinking heavily.
