Manager L T Smith of the Savoy theater treated 75 children from St Michael's school to a movie afternoon. Levi, the theater manager, previously entertained the school in a similar fashion.
Norman Gunn of Jasper was elected grand high priest of the Royal Arch Masons of Alabama at the closing session. Delegates reported over twelve hundred present as the grand lodge opened its annual meeting in Montgomery. Roberts was a strong supporter in Blackmons last race and is well connected locally. Blackmon aides expect confirmation and will attend the opening session of Congress next Saturday.

He awaits preliminary hearing before U S commissioner as bond remains unpaid. This follows a prior case involving M R Campbell head bookkeeper who embezzled 58000 dollars.
