The Calhoun County Democratic Executive Committee has completed the official ticket for the upcoming primary. Candidates include Bowie for Congress and several commissioners and officials across districts, with Thomas L. Harvey and S. G. Wright excluded for past antagonism to the party.
Thomas L. Harvey, a Third district commissioner candidate, is excluded from the Democratic primary ballot in Calhoun County Alabama due to past opposition to the party. A letter from County Democratic and Conservative party leaders explains he opposed Democratic nominees previously and thus is ineligible to participate in the August 25 primary.
A communication from Mr Harvey to the Evening Star expresses his feelings about the executive committee's move. The message emphasizes his request for an impartial consideration of the matter and invites further discussion.

The game between Alabama champions and the Chickasaws of Memphis was postponed as the Chickasaws could not reach the city due to a wreck on the Frisco line. They reached Birmingham at noon and would arrive tonight at 6 28 over the Southern. Aniston is favored in the make up, after beating Home in an eleven losing game 3 to 2 yesterday.
A double header will be played tomorrow with game one at 9 30 AM and game two at 4 PM. Anniston will field Segars and Leighton as the battery in the first game while the Chickasaws use Tritton and Ford.
