Anniston industry representatives form a 20 member committee to organize city and county exhibits for the Jamestown exposition opening April 26 and running to December 1. State funds cover exhibit costs. Judge G B Randolph may lead shipping and display efforts.
Montgomery contractor Mr. Algernon Blair has been awarded the job to erect a weather bureau building in Anniston. He will supervise with Mr. R L Singleton. work hinges on Washington approval but may start within three weeks. The two story red brick structure with stone trim costs about $10 500 and will take four months to complete with around 20 local workers.
Rumors point to a factional clash as seven members of the incoming council allegedly drafted a slate for city offices and ignored three others in a pre session meeting. Ward Cohen and Todd claim to have been snubbed and expect a hard line in the first regular session tonight.
