Proposals for the erection of a school house in Grant Township Cass County Iowa will be received until 8 p m on Tuesday June 12 1928. The Anita Town Council met at the Town Hall with Mayor Monnig and six councilmen present. Bills from various firms were approved and paid, and 100 Pittsburg water meters ordered at 21.50 each with 35 and 10 percent discounts F.O.B. Anita. The Water Committee will place the town on a meter basis and test all meters. those needing repair or installation will be addressed.
Mrs. James Craigmile of Omaha Nebraska spends a week in Anita with friends including Mrs. Lulu Faga and Miss Vera B Hook. Mrs. Craigmile formerly ran a millinery store in Anita for several years.
