Death of Miss Zita Tierney in Colorado Springs
Miss Zita Tierney, daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael Tierney of the Anita and Adair vicinity, died at eight o clock in the morning at a Colorado Springs sanitarium after eight years of treatment. She was 26 years, 4 months and 28 days old, the fifth of nine children. Sister Kathrine Tierney, a Mercy Hospital Des Moines graduate nurse, was summoned and will accompany the body to Anita for funeral and burial, date to be fixed.

Changes on Rural Mail Routes Shift in Anita

County Board Names Township Road Superintendents for 1928
At the annual meeting the County Board employed two township road superintendents for 1928. Hans Hansen was awarded the east half of Grant township and Andrew Jacobsen the west half. Both contracted for eight hours per day at sixty five cents per hour with team and forty five cents per hour without team. The board also purchased two road maintainers for township use.

Aaron Bell returned Saturday to Anita from Creston hospital where he has been since the auto accident several weeks ago near Greenfield. He sustained the loss of his left eye. Four other Bell family members in the car are recovering from their injuries.
