Death by own action shocks Anita community
Thomas Henry Rogers a long time Anita resident aged 70 died by hanging in his orchard on Rose Hill avenue after a period of illness. He traveled to Mayo Brothers in Rochester for evaluation and received little hope. He left a wife four daughters and several relatives. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church with Meade Post G A R in charge and interment at Evergreen cemetery.
