The Val Wiegand & Son Shoe Store held its first ever Spring Shoe Opening last Friday and Saturday in Anita. Hundreds visited despite weather, viewing a fine display of men women and children's footwear, with Ruth Wilkins providing musical recitals. Each lady guest received a carnation and the event drew favorable local attention.
