Engineers Propose Broad Way Route to Big Bend Highway
The resident and district engineers of the State Highway Department met with County Kilmer Corbin on a proposed Broad way to the Big Bend highway across Dawson county. A preliminary survey is complete and a two segment route is recommended Hindman to Harmony toward Post and Patricia toward Andrews. The Highway Commission will consider the route designation and financing plan.

Children 6 to 18 Should Be Listed In School Census

Bond Election Set For Saturday On County Road Bonds
Four county road bond proposals totaling 950000 will be voted on by property tax payers this Saturday March 27. A February 21 election was voided by the Attorney General over missing election supplies in Mabee and Fullerton. In that vote two proposals passed and two failed. Fullerton and Mabee Camp were defeated while Dollarhide and Andrews Lamesa were approved.

Beauty operator run over by car in Andrews
Mrs Lucy Wright beauty shop operator was struck by a car near her home in Andrews Monday night about 10 o’clock and seriously injured. Mrs Dorothy Beene faced aggravated assault charges and posted a $250 appearance bond. Wright was taken to Andrews Hospital where doctors expect a good chance of recovery.

T. V. Moyer aged 47 of Hobbs New Mexico died at Andrews Hospital at 2 p m Tuesday from a head injury suffered six days earlier when struck on the head by a joint of two inch tubing at the Anderson Prichard base in North Cowden. Burial arrangements were handled by Singleton's in Oklahoma.
