Local police rushed to Lakeside Park on Friday after a youth was found on the premises with a gun and acting as if hunting. Officers halted any plans for a hunt as they secured the area and checked the incident.

Foggy Morning Wrecks Hurt Odessa Driver
Two separate accidents occurred within an hour Friday morning as fog rolled in. Roy Genesee Hudspeth of Odessa struck Julius Fulmer’s pickup twelve miles south of Andrews. Fulmer suffered severe lacerations and bruises and was hospitalized. The second crash, five miles west of Andrews on the Kermit highway, involved Amos Vining of Andrews and Walter Shows of Monahans in a side swipe. Hudspeth was cited for failure to control speed.

Andrews Child Dies in Dallas Rites in Mineola
Funeral services were held for Tammye McFerren four year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Jerry McFarren at 2 p m Saturday in Mineola. She had been critically ill a week and flown to the Methodist Hospital in Dallas where surgery occurred on Wednesday. She died early Friday morning. Survivors include her parents paternal grandparents Mr and Mrs J P McFerren of Arlington and maternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Bob Martindale Texarkana.

City Honors Former Mayor Bud Duncan with Christmas Tribute
