Mrs. Eddie Brenholtz was hospitalized this week with pneumonia and is reported in fair condition. Supt. Eddie Brenholtz is out of the critical stages with viral pneumonia. Both are described as improved and in the same room.

Man Killed In Accident Near Andrews Eunice Highway
Ralph Hopper 43 of Hobbs New Mexico died Friday night when his car collided head on with a trailer hay truck 11 miles northwest of Andrews on the Eunice highway. Hay bales scattered for a quarter mile as the truck driven by Lynn Albert Harris became out of control and rolled. The car was crushed and Hopper was thrown out and pinned beneath it. Highway Patrolman Clint McCoy investigated.

Eight Teams Compete For AAA Invitational Title
In the AAA Tournament eight teams played Friday and Saturday to decide the title. Opening day winners Canyon Fort Stockton La Mesa and Dumas moved into the winners bracket. Andrews fell to Canyon 61 69 after leading 18 17 in the first quarter with Landrum scoring 29 Horton 18 Williams 17 for Canyon.
