Bus service upgrades planned with new routings
Anderson transit will shift to 40 minute intervals next month with express shuttles and a southeast shoppers route. Officials say the longer intervals will improve on time performance and fleet reliability while adding direct downtown transfers and new stops at Ayr Way and Southdale malls. Aims include accessibility for the elderly and handicapped, with federal funding changes approved to support mobility and potential purchase of a specialized vehicle.
